Our feet bear so much; they support our entire weight, brave dirt, sun, mud, high heels and what not. It‘s only fair that we pamper them every once in a while and what better way to pamper your feet than giving yourself a pedicure? Yes, you can give yourself a pedicure in the comfortable confines of your home.
Here is how to do it.

First of all you need to remove any traces of nail polish from your nails. Then add some foot soak to warm water and soak your feet for about 15 minutes. Now you need to trim the toe nails and then file them so that they are smooth from the tip. Use some moisturiser and cuticle pusher to push back the cuticles.

Now massage your feet with a good foot massager and then scrub the feet with pumice stone. Now separate your toes using the separator. Use a purchased pedicure kit. Start by applying a base coat. Apply a smooth base coat, let it dry and then apply a fresh coat of nail paint and then apply a second coat for a deeper and better colour. Finish the pedicure by applying a top coat of transparent polish to protect your hard work.

Feet are perhaps the most unappreciated part of the body. They bear all the weight of the body and are continuously in use. Therefore, feet deserve a little pampering too! Here, pedicures, or the process of cleaning and massaging the feet while grooming the toenails, come into picture. About every four to six weeks, get your feet the care they deserve from a licensed pedicurist. Not only are pedicures a healing touch for your feet, they are also very relaxing.

Daily Care
Keep your feet clean
Wash carefully between the toes
Use antibacterial soap.
Keep feet dry.
Try to wear only cotton or cotton blended fabric socks.
Air your shoes regularly and preferable spray an anti bacterial spray once a week.
Use high heeled shoes as little as possible.

A few easy tips
Pamper yourself and your feet with a weekly soak in warm, soapy water. Use aroma oils or bath salts for a better, calming effect.
Use an orangewood stick once a week to keep your cuticles in shape.
Supplement with Biotin, a vitamin for strengthening toenails.
To avoid ingrown toenails, always make sure that you cut your toenails straight across. Ingrown toenails are a painful condition and best avoided.

As the name of the article suggests, this article will give you a few tips to make your manicures last longer. After all, you have spent precious time and good money on your new manicure, and having these well-groomed, brand new tips taken away too soon is sure to spoil your mood. Well, here are a few things you can do to make sure that the nails you worked so hard on remain in the most well groomed state as long as possible.

Before your manicure, it is important to remove any old nail paint with the help of a nail polish remover.

All the residual oil and residue should be washed off before a manicure to work with fresh, clean nails. This helps the nail polish to stick to your nails better, and longer.

Always apply a base coat before applying the nail polish, as it will help your nail polish to stick better and for a longer period of time on to your nails.

The base coat and then every single coat of nail polish should be allowed to dry off properly before the next coat is applied.

Finish your manicure with a protective layer of topcoat.

Always protect your hands with gloves.

There are a number of commercial shampoos available for the purpose of getting ride of dandruff. However, you must read the label properly and only choose such shampoos that consist of ingredients like Zinc pyrithione, Ketoconazole, Selenium sulfide, Coal tar and Salicylic acid. The best commercial shampoo for fighting dandruff is considered to be Head&Shoulders.

Home Remedies:

1-Mix tea tree oil into your shampoo, oil and conditioner. This is because tea tree oil fights fungus and keeps dandruff at bay. After you have applied a shampoo containing tea tree oil, you must allow it to sit for about 15 minutes.

2-Applying coneflower and red clover extracts onto your scalp after washing it can help to keep dandruff away.

3-Applying oil onto the scalp and massaging it gently into the roots helps to hydrate a flaking scalp. Hot oil massages are considered to be the best for this purpose. However, care must be taken to keep the temperature of the oil tolerable.

4-Applying white or apple cider vinegar onto the hair before washing it has proven to be beneficial for a number of people. This is because white or apple cider holds such properties that fix the damaged pH balance of your hair.

Eyebrows are considered an important feature of a woman’s face as it adds character and definition to the face. Well groomed eyes enhances one’s beauty and it is only obvious that taking care of it is a necessity. Following are several tips that would come in handy to the woman who likes to maintain or want those perfectly beautiful eyebrows.

It is more prudent to pluck you eyebrows before you go to bed so that the redness will disappear overnight. You must also keep your facial features in mind while shaping your eyebrows.

You should always pluck hairs between any stragglers and the brows. The hair above the eyebrows should never be removed.

One must work in the direction of the growth and each hair must be plucked individually close to the root.

A pair of slant edge tweezers is effective to use as it grips hair easily. Also, to remove loose hair you must comb your hair in one direction and the then the other way to get rid of loose hair.

Over plucking should be avoided and always remember, while defining your eyebrows choose a color that is similar to your skin. Also, when using pencil apply small feathered strokes, starting at the inner corner.

Trimming your hair regularly is a must as it helps to get rid of all split ends and damaged hair. If you want to maintain your hair very long then you should trim it about 1- 1.5 inches every 2 months but if you want to keep a shorter, more manageable style you should consider trimming it 2-2.5 inches every two months.

It is absolutely easy to trim your own hair at home. This way you can save the time and effort of going to a parlour or a salon, not to mention save a great deal of money on an expensive cut.

Before beginning, dampen your hair with some water. This will help the hair to lie flat. Then divide the hair into 10 to 15 parts and hold them separate with clips. Separate the portion that you want to cut first and affix the rest on the top of your head with clips. Lift each section that you want to trim and using your index and middle fingers hold off the hair that you want to cut. Using sharp scissors cut off this hair. Repeat the same exercise with the rest of the hair. The important thing to remember is to cut off the same amount of hair for each section.
