Feet are perhaps the most unappreciated part of the body. They bear all the weight of the body and are continuously in use. Therefore, feet deserve a little pampering too! Here, pedicures, or the process of cleaning and massaging the feet while grooming the toenails, come into picture. About every four to six weeks, get your feet the care they deserve from a licensed pedicurist. Not only are pedicures a healing touch for your feet, they are also very relaxing.

Daily Care
Keep your feet clean
Wash carefully between the toes
Use antibacterial soap.
Keep feet dry.
Try to wear only cotton or cotton blended fabric socks.
Air your shoes regularly and preferable spray an anti bacterial spray once a week.
Use high heeled shoes as little as possible.

A few easy tips
Pamper yourself and your feet with a weekly soak in warm, soapy water. Use aroma oils or bath salts for a better, calming effect.
Use an orangewood stick once a week to keep your cuticles in shape.
Supplement with Biotin, a vitamin for strengthening toenails.
To avoid ingrown toenails, always make sure that you cut your toenails straight across. Ingrown toenails are a painful condition and best avoided.

As the name of the article suggests, this article will give you a few tips to make your manicures last longer. After all, you have spent precious time and good money on your new manicure, and having these well-groomed, brand new tips taken away too soon is sure to spoil your mood. Well, here are a few things you can do to make sure that the nails you worked so hard on remain in the most well groomed state as long as possible.

Before your manicure, it is important to remove any old nail paint with the help of a nail polish remover.

All the residual oil and residue should be washed off before a manicure to work with fresh, clean nails. This helps the nail polish to stick to your nails better, and longer.

Always apply a base coat before applying the nail polish, as it will help your nail polish to stick better and for a longer period of time on to your nails.

The base coat and then every single coat of nail polish should be allowed to dry off properly before the next coat is applied.

Finish your manicure with a protective layer of topcoat.

Always protect your hands with gloves.
